Traffic controller seems to shut down randomly, needs to be restarted again to get back traffic. MSFS 2020.
I have experienced this where I start the sim and everything is OK, lots of traffic etc.. I am doing my usual preflight in the cockpit, then look around and all of the sudden there is no more traffic because the Traffic Controller simply shuts down, need to start it again. Biggest problem of this add on IMO.
What can I provide to help fix this, I don't care about there not being enough a380 in Dubai or pretty much most of the problems described on the front page, works great as an off line ai-traffic when it works but when it shuts down it is a bummer :'( .
I do not start MSFS to study AI traffic behavior ::rolleyes: I love how it looks, airport full of various aircraft types with appropriate liveries at the given airports, even if from time to time there is one that still somehow has default MSFS who cares.. It is a lot more important that the program doesn't shut down.
Thanks.
Experiencing this as well.
Log files please. Without them no way for the programer to diagnose what's going on.
I have the same problem
Started Traffic Manager in WMKP
checked with the map/time etc....
Arrived in WMKC (only 131nm) - no Traffic Manager running anymore = no traffic
Where to find the log files?
logs files are in the file folder the program resides in.
I'm new to AIG but this seems to be very common issue and devs appear to know exactly what's wrong but are unable to fix it, too bad, has to do something with SimConnect, so yeah sucks, more can be found in support forum lots of post on this matter.
Guess just have to wait and see or keep an eye on it then restart it asap but yeah kinda sucks.
Log file attached for another random crash of TC while running MSFS.
I have the same problem in bussy airports.
I didn't notice TC CTD in minor airports.
Seems that is something related with the amount of traffic is able to load an specific airport.
If I reduce the % of traffic TC doesn't close but only see 5 or 6 aircraft at the airport.
Same problem here. Attaching log file.
It happens at every flight and every airport.
MSFS issue (actual P3D as well), both teams are investigating
Same happened to me yesterday. Attaching log file. Thanks for your work AIG team.
no logs were created. the program shutdown during flight. It happens every time, it's a common situation.
I attach logs but no log was created on crash.
Please test better the program itself.

You do realize this program is in an open beta?
these crashes are not related to AIGTC, they are related to SimConnect so there is nothing I can do to fix. ASOBO is aware of the crash and I hope they will get it fixed sonn

but if there is a crash in a dll like simconnect, this crash could be catched and should not crash the AIG Traffic Controller,
instead the progran may reload the simconnect after the crash without closing itself.
Not in this case, it is an Statement Critical that can not be catched
Simconnect is not something that can just be reloaded. It will require a full restart of the sim, because it's a dll needed for the sim to run programs outside the sim. So AIG and AIGTC can't just restart the dll. Only a full restart of the sim will work.
