[CLOSED] TC gets stuck and crash during approach. Restart doesn't work.

Hi Kai,

I recently frequently experience this: when I approach a busy airport, like LFPG, EGKK, EHAM, etc., TC can successfully inject asleep AI, but it would get stuck (which means it doesn't respond to any input). Shortly after, TC crashes and all AI disappear. Then I have to restart TC, but when I click 'inject traffic', TC only injects seldom enroute AI, but cannot inject asleep AI. By doing so, TC gets stuck again, and crashes shortly after. I used 70% aviation activity and 30% ground activity, with traffic limiter applied, and this just happens every time. I attached my log file here, and thanks in advance if you have any time helping me out.

Looks like they all point to 'clr.dll'. Not sure what it did. Thanks in advance.

A quick update: I totally uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of TC. Then TC didn't crash when I approached LFPG last night and everything went well. Though I don't know why the crashes happened but total reinstallation seems work. I'll keep an eye on it.

Hi Kai,

In recent flights, the problem didn't happen, until tonight, when I was approaching EDDF, the problem happened again. This time, the error information reads:

Hi Kai. I am kind of confused with this 'second entry'. Is it an automatically re-entry after crash?

Also I just found another error information related to TC at the same time of the one I posted in the last reply. Here it is:

From my shallow coding knowledge, this looks like an exception caused by my operation after TC got stuck.

From my shallow coding knowledge, this looks like an exception caused by my operation after TC got stuck.

What did you enter at the traffic limiter and was the Sim running when you did it?

zyc233

Hi Kai,

I entered my departure airport and arrival airport codes. I cannot remember what they were regarding a specific error information, but as for the latest error logs I just posted last night, I entered 'EDDP' for departure and 'LFPG' for arrival.

I entered them when the sim was running. However, I always inject traffic after enabling the traffic limiter. Also I tried both enabling or disabling traffic limiter, and the crash occurred in both cases, which means the problem seems irrelevant with this setting.

zyc233

Guys, I may found a way around this problem. Recently every time TC gets stuck, I use my mouse to randomly drag the TC window. After seconds, TC gets totally frozen. Then I press 'Ctrl+Alt+Delete', then cancel, TC magically restores and starts injecting normally. This seems weird but it works. Hope this information helps.
