Traffic controller works great at first, but closes itself sometime during my flights, resulting in no traffic at or around arrival airport.

Just to confim above.
i got the exact same error in my event logs ^.

I feel like the unwanted termination happens more often in the first 5-10 min after loading flight and running TC. (but this is just observation from few flights, the past few days).

Try running the repair option.  I had several missing paints and seems to be much more stable now.  Last week it would crash after 5-10 minutes.  I'm now doing 1+ hour flights with no crashes.  I also have been setting traffic to 60%, so that might also be helping.  There is still a lot of AI aircraft even at 60%.  I'm also using a GA aircraft BGL, which adds back in the GA traffic.

One possible issue is that when you have to manually download a zip file AIGM will let you select the file before it finishes downloading.  A couple of the sites with manual download are very slow.  That might be creating issues.

Getting random AIG TC shutdowns even after verifying. I'm also pretty sure AIG TC was causing my CTDs because I haven't had a CTD since running it. I also don't have any sound effects for any AI planes.
